Almas Fariady known to his patients as Ali is the founder of Norwest Podiatry and a passionate advocate for holistic lower limb care. He brings over a decade of experience in all aspects of Podiatry.
He holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Podiatry from Auckland University of Technology, building on a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology from his earlier BHSc degree at the University of Otago.
Ali’s comprehensive knowledge of human movement allows him to identify the root causes of foot and lower limb issues, not just treat the symptoms. With experience across both private practice and the Waitematā District Health Board, he brings wide-ranging expertise in all aspects of podiatry, with a special interest in sports injuries, podiatric minor surgery, and diabetic foot care. Known for his down-to-earth approach and focus on long-term results, Ali is committed to helping every patient move better, feel better, and stay active.
Outside the clinic, Ali enjoys playing cricket and swimming, both of which he finds relaxing and enjoyable. He also values spending quality time with his family, which he considers an important part of his life. These activities provide a meaningful balance to his professional responsibilities
Lynn is a highly skilled and compassionate podiatrist. She has seven years of experience as a podiatrist and has worked with a diverse range of patients across various clinical presentations. She is known for her commitment to improving her patients’ comfort, mobility, and overall wellbeing. What drives her practice is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives through expert foot care.
Lynn’s journey into healthcare is as inspiring as her work. Born with non-functional ears, she received a cochlear implant at age seven, allowing her to hear with the aid of a microphone. She is fluent in both English and New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL), which makes her care accessible, inclusive, and deeply valued by a diverse range of patients.
When she’s not in the clinic, Lynn satisfies her adventurous spirit through travel having explored 28 countries and counting. Her favourite way to see the world By motorbike, especially in the more off-the-beaten-path destinations.
With over 30 years of healthcare experience, Andrea brings deep expertise and a genuine care for people to every podiatry appointment. Originally trained as a nurse in the UK, she later found her true calling in podiatry combining her medical knowledge with a passion for helping people stay mobile and independent.
Andrea has worked across the UK’s NHS and New Zealand’s Te Whatu Ora, with a strong focus on diabetic foot care and the prevention of complications such as ulceration and amputation. Her patients benefit from both her clinical precision and her calming, compassionate approach. A passionate educator, Andrea also mentor’s students at Auckland University of Technology (AUT), helping shape the next generation of podiatrists through hands-on teaching and guidance.
When she’s not in the clinic or the classroom, Andrea enjoys gardening, exploring the Waitākere Ranges with her dog Rosie and her two teenagers – and strumming a tune or two on her ukulele.
