PACT® Fungal Nail Treatment – LED Light Therapy Now available at Norwest Podiatry
Say goodbye to stubborn toenail fungus with our non-invasive, drug-free solution: PACT® LED Light Therapy – a safe, effective treatment offered right here in West Auckland.
Fungal toenails can be unsightly, uncomfortable, and incredibly difficult to treat with creams or oral medications alone. At Norwest Podiatry, we offer a safe, painless, and effective solution — PACT® Photodynamic Antimicrobial Therapy.
PACT® (Photodynamic Antimicrobial Therapy) is a cutting-edge treatment that uses a combination of a blue photosensitising gel and high-powered red LED light to safely eliminate fungal nail infections at their source.
Unlike oral antifungal medications, which can come with side effects and low success rates, PACT® therapy is pain-free, topical and directly targets fungal cells without harming healthy tissue. Clinical studies report success rates of up to 90% for mild to moderate fungal infections and 60% for more severe cases.
Meet with a qualified West Auckland Podiatrist for a complimentary 15-minute consultation. We’ll examine your toenails and determine if PACT® is the right solution. A Diafactory Test may be recommended (additional charge applies).
Before treatment, the affected toenail is professionally thinned to ensure the gel and light penetrate effectively. You will be dispensed with a topical preparation cream to apply to the toenail for 7 days. This is best applied at night and covered with a plaster.
Each session involves:
Treatment duration: Approx. 30 minutes (longer for multiple or severe infections).
Most patients require 6 – 8 sessions. The first 4 are done weekly followed by monthly reviews. The exact number of sessions depends on the severity and response to treatment.
We’ll provide full aftercare instructions, nail trimming and hygiene tips.
