At Norwest Podiatry, we are passionate about the health of our community, and that means working together with our local healthcare partners to provide the best possible care. That’s why we were so excited to recently visit the dedicated teams at NorthWest Medical clinics in Kumeu, Hobsonville, and Waimauku to share some updates and foster our collaborative approach to patient well-being. A special thank you to Kathleen Kerr, General Manager, who was instrumental in arranging these valuable sessions.
Our in-service presentations were a fantastic opportunity to connect with the doctors and nurses who serve our shared community. We believe that by working hand-in-hand, we can create a seamless and more effective healthcare experience for our patients. During our sessions, we focused on three key areas:
We were proud to introduce our newest podiatrists to the NorthWest Medical teams. Our clinic is continually expanding to meet the needs of the community, and each new team member brings a fresh perspective and a unique set of skills. This growth allows us to offer more appointments and a broader range of expertise, ensuring that more people in the NorthWest region can access the high-quality foot care they need.
A major highlight of our presentations was showcasing our advanced new service: PACT® Fungal LED Therapy. We know how frustrating and persistent infections can be. Many traditional treatments can be lengthy and, in some cases, have unwanted side effects.
PACT® (Photodynamic Antimicrobial Therapy) is a safe, pain-free, and highly effective solution. It uses a unique blue gel that targets and destroys fungal cells when exposed to a specific LED light, all without harming healthy tissue. The procedure is non-invasive, quick, and has no downtime. We’re incredibly enthusiastic about offering this cutting-edge technology to our patients as a powerful alternative to oral medications and other treatments, and we were thrilled to share the benefits with our colleagues at NorthWest Medical.
More than just an update on our team and services, these in-service sessions were about strengthening our relationships. We discussed practical ways to streamline referrals, share patient information efficiently, and coordinate treatment plans to ensure our patients receive comprehensive and connected care. Whether it’s a patient with diabetes needing a routine foot check-up or a family member with a minor foot issue, our goal is to make the process as easy and effective as possible by supporting the amazing work of the NorthWest Medical teams.
We believe that by working together, we can empower our patients to take confident steps towards better health.
