Gentle podiatry assessment to support healthy foot development and comfortable movement.

Flat feet in children occur when the arch of the foot appears low or absent when standing. This is very common in young children and could be part of normal development as muscles, ligaments, and bones strengthen over time.
For many children, arches develop naturally as they grow. However, in some cases, flat feet can contribute to pain, fatigue, frequent tripping, or difficulty keeping up with activity.
At Norwest Podiatry, we assess whether your child’s flat feet are within normal developmental range or whether additional support may be helpful.

Flat feet are frequently seen in children and are often linked to genetics or flexible joints. We assess whether they are contributing to discomfort or movement issues.
Treatment is considered if your child has pain, fatigue, frequent falls, or difficulty with activity.
No. Orthotics are only recommended when they are likely to provide clear benefit.
In some children, yes. Poor foot support can affect alignment higher up the leg.
Some children’s arches change as they grow, while others remain flatter due to genetics or joint flexibility. We monitor for any pain, fatigue, or movement issues and support when needed.
No referral is required, you can book directly.
